Current Activities and Involvement Community involvement and caring for the local environment is critical to our success here in Dahab and we are focused on doing what ever we can to help the local situation. First off, all of the transportation and food services that we need are provided by the local Bedouin people. We use local drivers and desert guides and as such provide a source of income for many local Bedouins. Secondly, we make it a priority to clean up after ourselves and others who use our climbing sites in the desert. Garbage clean ups and helping to educate people on the need for a clean environment are an important focus for us. In addition, we work closely with local conservation organizations such as the Volunteer Rangers to help with both marine and land conservation efforts such as wildlife/ marine life monitoring, area clean-ups and education.
If you have any Questions regarding any of our programs or trips please don’t hesitate to contact us. Any and all questions and/ or concerns are welcome. Email info@climbsinai.com or call: +20165581488.
Future Activities and Involvement In the near future we are looking to increase the local involvement with rock climbing in Dahab by training local Bedouins to function as rock guides and by expanding our operations so that we are able to employ more local staff. Further we are working on an education programs and means of helping with the local garbage situation in the area, so that we can help to keep the deserts in Sinai a beautiful and pristine place to visit.
